Onion Raita
Onion raita is quiet popular dish across all over India. It is must side dish for briyani,peas pulav and also to some chaat foods…
Onion raita tastes good with coriander rice,tomato rice

Raita is made by yogurt and onions, as onions are the main ingredient. One can make it as a side accomplishment to any kind of gravy as it would tastes good by its own...
 


Step 1: Whisk yogurt till it becomes soft and smooth

Step 2: Add salt, pinch of pepper powder and mix well. Add in the finely chopped onions and mix well

Step3: Add chopped coriander leaves and a spoon of grated carrot and mix again ..


Step 4: this is optional, sprinkle some chaat masala on top.
Tasty and yummy onion raita is ready in no time……..

Lemon rice



Lemon rice



Step 1: keep handy all the needed ingredients,


Step 2: heat 2 spoons of gingerly oil in a pan, add 1 spoon of mustard seeds, let the mustard seeds sputter and Now add 2 spoons of urad dall,1 ½ spoon of channa dal,  sauté until dal becomes slight brown .add 2 red chill, 2 chopped green chilli, chopped ginger, curry leaves,1/4 spoon of hing (perungayam) and1/4 spoon of turmeric powder(I have added turmeric powder to my squeezed lemon juice and kept ). sauté well for 30 seconds and add squeezed lemon juice(I added 3 lemon)and add saltas needed.
Note: do not squeeze lemon till end, it will bring whilst taste to your lemon rice.
                       
 
Step 3: now add boiled rice in it and mix well in low flame (do not over heat the lime, add rice immediately after adding lemon juice).add garnish with coriander leaves.





Tasty and spicy lemon rice is ready ,eat it with crispy potato porial to taste more…..

Godhumai dosai or wheat flour dosa



Step 1: take a bowl add 1 cup of wheat flour, 1/2 cup of rice flour and 2 spoons of ravai or semolina and salt as needed. Now mix all together by adding water. make sure that the batter should be in dosa batter consistency.
Let it set for 1 hour.

Step 2: Now the batter is ready to make crispy gothumai dosai. Heat dosa tawa and spread the batter as shown below,

Add oil, Flip and cook.


 After the dosa is cooked remove from heat nd serve with coconut chutney, red chilli chutney, or orangechutney.



Note: I like my dosa to be plain, so I have not added cumin seeds and onions if you need then you can add those in your batter before spreading dosai.
