Lemon rice



Lemon rice



Step 1: keep handy all the needed ingredients,


Step 2: heat 2 spoons of gingerly oil in a pan, add 1 spoon of mustard seeds, let the mustard seeds sputter and Now add 2 spoons of urad dall,1 ½ spoon of channa dal,  sauté until dal becomes slight brown .add 2 red chill, 2 chopped green chilli, chopped ginger, curry leaves,1/4 spoon of hing (perungayam) and1/4 spoon of turmeric powder(I have added turmeric powder to my squeezed lemon juice and kept ). sauté well for 30 seconds and add squeezed lemon juice(I added 3 lemon)and add saltas needed.
Note: do not squeeze lemon till end, it will bring whilst taste to your lemon rice.
                       
 
Step 3: now add boiled rice in it and mix well in low flame (do not over heat the lime, add rice immediately after adding lemon juice).add garnish with coriander leaves.





Tasty and spicy lemon rice is ready ,eat it with crispy potato porial to taste more…..

Vegetable Briyani


Vegetable Briyani


Today I am gonna teach you the perfect to make your favorite dish vegetable briyani.
 



Veg Briyani is the traditional mughlai main course loaded with chopped vegetables,and spicies and it is prepared by lot of pressure (dum briyani),now I am gonna explain you with step by step photos of pressure cooker version of making vegetable briyani .This briyani tastes awesome with finely chopped  yummy onion raitha.

Needed:

basumati rice: 1 cup
carrot : chopped 1 medium size
beans: chopped 10 number
potato: chopped 1 medium size.
Curd: one cup
Red chilli pdr: 1 spoon
Chopped coriander and mint leaves: ½ cup
Ginger garlic paste: 3 spoons
Some ground masala: bay leaf, fennel seeds, cinnamon, and cardamom.
Chopped onion: 1 medium size.
Tomato puree: ½ cup
Oil: 2 spoons
Salt: to taste

Method:
Step 1: cut and wash all the veggies above said, keep it aside. Soak 1 cup of basumati rice with 3 ¾ cup of water and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

Step 2: heat 2 spoons of oil, add ground masala, sauté until aroma comes out. Add ginger garlic paste sauté for 2 minutes and add chopped onions and sauté until onions turn golden brown and add tomato puree, sauté well and cook for 5 minutes.


Step 3:  Add chopped veggies and mix well, cook for 5 minutes in low to medium flame and add finely chopped coriander and mint leaves and sauté well.


Step 4: take ½ cup of curd and pour it to the mixture and mix well.

Step 5: Now add soaked rice (drain water from the soaked rice and keep it aside, we need it in next step) and sauté well, cook for 4 minutes by adding salt as needed. Now add that drained water and mix well.


Step 6: now transfer everything to a bowl or a container which fit in to your pressure cooker and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.


Step 7: garnish with coriander leaves after taking briyani from the pressure cooker and serve hot with little spicy onion raita.
