Parupu thalipu is often done by my MIL. She will make it very best and I learned it from her..Now it became my favorite dish..

Let me explain by step by step pictures to be very clear..
It is very easy dish I call It as tamarind free sambar …lol ….

Method:

 Step 1: Chop and keep handy, the below ingredients:
Garlic
Shallots
Green chilli
Cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
Turmeric powder
Coriander powder
Curry leaves 

Step 2: pressure cook 1 cup of toor dal by adding 1 garlic clove, 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds and ¼ spoon of turmeric powder. Nicely smash it and keep it aside.

Step 3:  heat kadai or a pan add 1 spoon of oil ,add mustard seeds ,add cumin seeds, curry leaves , chopped garlic cloves and sauté well

Step 4: add chopped shallots (chinna vengayam )and sauté until raw smell goes from it .and add pinch of hing powder.

Step 5: Now add pressure cooked dal and sauté well and add ¼ spoons of sambar powder and salt as needed, sauté and cook for 5 minutes in low flame and switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves …
 Now mix it with plain rice and enjoy the taste ...

 paneer capsicum gravy is very easy and less spiced quick Indian recipe 

I also recommend another tasty paneer gravy : paneer butter masala from my blog ....
Steps to prepare capsicum paneer gravy : 

Heat kadai or a pan ,add 1 spoon of oil ,add some chopped ginger and garlic cloves and sauté well until raw smell goes off from ginger and garlic .Now add 2 medium size chopped onions and sauté until onion turn slight golden brown .Switch off the flame ,let it rest for few minutes 


Now add those sautéed onion, ginger & garlic to the blender and with that add 1 spoon of poppy seeds (gasa gasa in Tamil) and grind to a paste by sprinkling some water if needed.

Heat pan add 1 spoon of oil and add those grinded paste and sauté until the paste turns little thicker ,now add 2 spoons of tomato puree or tomato paste and sauté 


Add ½ spoon red chilli powder and ½ spoons of pepper powder and sauté

In another pan add 1 spoon of oil and add 1 chopped capsicum, sauté until it becomes roasted, remove the sautéed capsicum and add it to the gravy.

Now on the same pan add again 1 spoon of oil and add some paneer cubes and
Roast it until the corners of the paneer cubes becomes slight brown ,now switch off the flame and add those paneer cubes also to the gravy 

and mix well & cook in low flame for about 2 to 3 minutes by adding required salt .




Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves...
Serve with hot chapathi (if you need the recipe of my soft chapati then click on "chapati" ) ...

Pal payasam is my favorite among all payasam varieties so, today I would like to share this recipe with you all …
This is not cooker made recipe because I don’t like cooker based pal payasam.
This pal payasam is for sure will be very yummy and thick in consistency ,so please follow my steps and I would love to answer your queries too…
Please give me your comments after trying my recipe of pal payasam ,Iam waiting to hear from you..

boil 1 liter of full fat milk in a height and wide vessel and after the milk got boiled slimmer the flame  and  add  1 spoon of cooked rice and  mix well , leave it for 20 to 25 minutes in low flame  stir occasionally .


 Now the milk would be thickened, now add   1 ½ cup of sugar and mix well, again cook for 10 more minutes in low flame.. The sugar would have been dissolved now add 2 spoons of condensed milk (milk maid) and mix
Add some cardomon powder, ghee roasted cashew nouts and ¼ cup of ghee.mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes and serve warm …
