Cauliflower fry or Gobi 65
Cauliflower fry is one of my most favorite Dishes; Today I am going to share my favorite recipe to make Cauliflower fry or Gobi 65
 Let’s learn how to make cauliflower fry or Gobi 65 within few simple steps.
 Needed:
Cauliflower: cut in to flowerets 1 cup
Rice flour: 4 spoons
Corn flour: 1 spoon
Pepper powder: ½ spoon
Sambar powder: ½ spoon
Red chilli powder: ¼ spoon
Hing powder: pinch
Salt:  to taste
Oil: for frying
Thick curd: 1 spoon
Ginger garlic paste: 1 spoon
Method:
Step 1: take a bowl add rice flour, corn flour, pepper powder, red chilli powder, sambar powder, hing, salt and mix well by adding 6 to 7 spoons of water and keep it side


Step 2: Add cauliflower flowerets in to the boiling water and add pinch of turmeric powder and cook it partially .Then, drain all the water and dip those cauliflower flowerets in to the prepared flour mixture.


Step 3: heat oil in a kadai and fry those dipped cauliflower till golden brown and remove from heat.


(Note: Add a small piece of ginger in to the oil in kadai, and remove it only at the end .This will prevent indigestion)
Step 4: now heat another pan and add 1 spoon of oil,1 spoon of ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell goes and add 1 spoon of thick yogurt or curd and sauté well for 10 seconds ,now toss those fried gobies in to it and serve hot .


Restaurant style Gobi 65 is ready to taste.
 (i have not added safron food colour to my recipe because i made this for my kid, if you need your gobi 65 to be red in colour add pinch of safron food colour while making the batter.)

Drumstick leaves porial or Murangaikeerai porial

Drum stick leaves or Morenga oleifera is best known as excellent source of Nutrition and Natural energy booster. 


It helps lower blood pressure and it is a sleep aid. Its detoxifying effect may come from Moringa’s ability to purify water. Murangai keerai (in Tamil) or Moringa acts as a coagulant attaching itself to harmful material and bacteria. It is believed that this process is taking place in the body as well.

Eating drumstick leaves even good to increase woman’s milk production and also It is prescribed for anemia.

Murangai keerai has better protein than soy,food  scientists once believed that only soy has protein comparable to meet ,dairy and eggs.Now they have added moringa to that very short list. Some even consider Moringa protein better than soy protein as it is non-allergic.


Now let us learn how to prepare Murangaikeerai porial in few steps with self explanatory pictures:

Step 1: Clean and wash the leaves and set aside. Cut one medium size onion, pressure cook 2 table spoons of toor dal and mash it and keep it aside. Grate 4 spoons of coconut and set aside. 


Step 2: heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, after it sputter and cumin seeds sauté for 5 seconds and add murungaikeerai or drumstick leaves and sauté well in medium flame.



Step 3: cover and cook in medium flame until the leaves gets cooked.

Step 4: add sambar powder, pinch of turmeric powder, salt and sauté well, cover and cook for another 5 minutes.


Step 5: Add pressure cooked toor dal and sauté for 5 minutes.


Step 6: add grated coconut and mix .cook for one minute and remove from heat. Murangaikeerai porial is ready.



Serve hot with rice.

CABBAGE PORIAL



CABBAGE PORIAL



Step 1: wash and chop cabbage

Step 2: add it in a bowl with water and boil it until it’s cooked. Remove it from heat, drain the water and keep it aside the cooked cabbage.


Step 3: heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, pinch of hung powder, 2 chopped green chilly. Sauté and add 1 finely chopped onions. Sauté until onions turns transparent.



Step 4: Now add those cabbage, and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes by adding salt.
 Now add ¼ cup of grated coconut and mix well.
 Cook for 1 min and remove from heat .serve with rice.


Beans Porial



Beans porial



Step 1: take 250 grams of finely chopped beans, pressure cook the same and keep it aside.


Step 2: heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, pinch of hing powder ,five red chilli and sauté for 5 seconds and add pressure cooked beans ,salt(as needed).sauté for 2 minutes .


Step 3: Now add ¼ cup of grated coconut and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and remove the beans porial from heat.
