Crispy
finger chips or French fries
Finger
chips are also known as French fries, It is the most popular snack or a starter
made out of deep frying potatoes.
Step
1: wash and peel potatoes, cut it in to finger size thin long strips.wash those
stripes in water for 2 mins and change the water and again wash it for 2 mins
,do the same for 3 to 4 times,so that the starch will be removed from the
potato and now soak those potatoes for 1 hour (change water in between ,I did
it every 15 mins)
Step
2: towel dry the potato strips for 30 minutes, those finger size strips should
be completely dry before frying it in the oil.
Step
3: heat oil in a kadai. (The oil should be hot and don’t make the oil to smoke)
once the oil is heated, keep the flame in medium or medium to low.
Step
4: now deep fry the potato strips,fry them in small sets.Take 5 min for each
sets to cook and after it got cooked
remove from oil by using a slotted ladle to drain the excess oil out of it.
keep the cooked potatoes to cool in a room temperature.
Step
5: after all those potato strips are cooled, heat oil again in a kadai ,the oil
should be little hot than before and now put those cooked potatoes in side and
deep fry them again to get crispy finger chips. (Fry them in sets like before).
Now transfer
those fried finger chips to a serving bowl and sprinkle some salt and pepper to
it. Serve it with a tomato sauce.
Now you
will taste a very crispy mouth watering finger chips.
