COCONUT THOGAIYAL
Grated coconut -1 cup
Urad dal - ¾ cup
Red chilli -3
Tamarind - one small piece.
Oil for frying - 2 spoons
Water to grind, Salt to taste.
Method:
STEP 1: Heat oil in a pan; add urad dal, red chilli and tamarind, sauté until urad dal becomes golden brown. Remove from heat and transfer it in to a plate. Keep it aside. In the same pan, roast the grated coconut for 1 min, transfer it to the same plate. Let it come to the room temperature.
STEP 2: Add everything to a blender, add salt and grind coarsely by adding water.
Coconut thogaiyal is ready.
