SALEM POTATO KURMA


SALEM POTATO KURMA
This kurma is popular in Salem. It taste good with roti.I can say this,
As a very heavy recipe which will fills up the stomach.

lets see how to prepare:

STEP 1:  Cut 2 potatoes,2 Carrots in to big pieces and Pressure cook potato and carrot for 3 whistles , keep it aside .

STEP 2: take 2 spoons of Roasted gram (Pottu kadalai), 2 medium size green chilli, 1/2 cup of greated coconut and Grind it in a blender by adding little water , keep it aside.

STEP 3: Now heat oil in a pan , Add oil , mustard seeds , curry leaves , pinchof hing powder,  2 chopped onion ,saute well till onion turns sight brown and 1 chopped tomato ,cook till tomato gets mashed .

STEP 4: Add pressure cooked carrots and potato in to it .saute well .cook for 2 mins

STEP 5: Now pour those grinded Roasted gram,green chili , coconut paste .Add water and salt to the gravy and cook for 10 to 12 mins .


garnish with corriander leaves.Serve hot .
